The D&D PullBolt Lock Body and the Face-Mount can both be attached to a flat or round gate post with optional adaptor legs that are readily screwed onto the back face. These legs give added strength and security, with the screws concealed from manipulation.

All major components of the PullBolt are made from 316-grade stainless steel, making the device ideal for use in marine and other corrosive environments. The lock bolt has a long, 1-1/4" (32mm) throw, and features a hardened steel insert to resist hacksawing. The PullBolt is also highly resistant to levering, oxyacetylene cutting and bolt-cutters.

D&D PullBolt is supplied with a standard 6-pin ‘key-in-knob’ style cylinder which is accessible for keying alike and master keying by a locksmith, or being replaced with higher security cylinder systems. The locking mechanism is a "deadlocked" design, as opposed to "snap lock", which protects the lock from being tampered with or pried open, and also assures the system cannot be locked without the key-holder’s authority.

The product is supplied with standard screw fixings. Blind, internal screw-cap covers are available as optional accessories.

The D&D PullBolt is symmetrical in that the locking bolt can be removed and reversed to accommodate left-handed or right-handed mounting, thus ensuring the key-way remains upright.
